Thronton Dental Practice
We provide many services in our practice to suit your dental requirements. We consider ours to be a family orientated dental practice, welcoming mums, dads, children and all family members. Our emphasis and policy is to preserve your natural teeth by prevention of tooth decay and gum disease.
We take great pride in offering the highest standard of dentistry and want to make your visits as pleasant as possible.
New Patients Most Welcome
The practice operates NHS waiting list system. We are always striving to improve access for new patients. If you would like to be added to this please use the contact page available on this website or telephone reception.
Mr Murray our Clinical Lead has recently begun to dedicate some of his time to private patients. If you require any information regarding this please contact Alison Rawson who is our private treatment coordinator who will be happy to answer any queries.
As a new initiative we are also offering private emergency care usually available within 24 hours of your call. Please keep checking for updates, or call and speak to a member of reception for information.
Existing Patients Recalls
At the practice we have made a change in the way we do our recall system. Instead of booking you an appointment at reception before you leave we will now recall you via email, text, phone call or letter to advise you your exam is due.
At the end of a course of treatment you and your dentist will agree your next check-up date, this can vary from 3-24 months in accordance with NHS NICE guidance.
It is then your responsibility to make an appointment in that time frame. If we do not hear from you after a short period we will allocate your NHS place someone who needs it.
We will do our very best to re-register you, however, this is always subject to capacity at the time. To ensure you keep your place at the practice, please attend within the agreed time scale.
PLEASE KEEP YOUR DETAILS UP TO DATE
We are also operating a reminder service via email or text message. Please check with reception and update your details to ensure we can contact you.
Children, of whatever age, are always welcome in the practice. We like to encourage parents to bring their children from an early age so that they can acquire habits that will preserve their teeth for life.
Of course, if you are not registered with the practice but need to visit the dentist due to a dental emergency we will always do our very best to see you on the same day.
